On May 17, Afa joined Chineke! Orchestra's Chi-chi Nwanoku MBE, conductor
Marin Alsop and Rotterdam's mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb in opening the sixth
edition of Classical:NEXT, the world's largest classical music meeting.
1,200 professionals from 44 countries gathered for four days of
sessions, performances, and more.
"I
am thrilled to be able to participate in Classical:NEXT this year.
Particularly during such a turbulent time for our global society, I am
eager to learn from and with colleagues around the globe and explore the
immense power of the arts to unite, connect, and erase barriers," said
Afa.
