Hello,

On last Friday, April 7, 2017 the Morgan’s Fine and Performing Arts Department sponsored a Vocal MasterClass for our Morgan Music Voice Majors.  The Master Class was led by Morgan alumnus Kevin Short who is renowned for his operatic career singing in the most famous opera houses in the world!

When our students learned that Kevin Short was going to give a Master Class, they all clamored to get on the short list of persons to perform for him.  Although the students sang well and learned a great deal from their experience on stage with Kevin, I believe the audience in attendance gleamed more from the insightful comments from Mr. Short - not just about vocal technique, but about one’s approach to life in general.

Hours after the Master Class everyone was excited to hear Kevin perform on a special concert entitled - An Evening of Operatic Arias!

Please see attached several photos from the afternoon, as well as several short video clips from the Masterclass.
