It’s not Pretty Yende, whom every label is running after with open mouths and chequebooks. Not yet, anyway.
This is Pumeza Matshikiza, a girl from the townships who is a soloist
at the Stuttgart Opera and one of the fastest rising stars on the
German circuit. She has signed for Decca.
