Dr. Eric Conway of Morgan State University: 'we have a new applied voice teacher on our faculty in Kenneth Kamal Scott.'

[Kenneth Kamal Scott]

Eric A. Conway, D.M.A. is Chair of the Fine and Performing Arts Department of Morgan State University, Baltimore, and Director of the Morgan State University Choir, www.msuchoir.org.  He writes of the appointment of Kenneth Kamal Scott to the Morgan State University faculty:

Hello everyone,

It is my pleasure to announce that we have a new applied voice teacher on our faculty in Kenneth Kamal Scott.  He brings to our department a great deal of experience in the field as well as years as a vocal teacher/coach.  His name may be most known for his portrayal of the title role of  "The Wiz" for 5 years on Broadway in the original production.  Prior to joining us at Morgan, Kamal Scott served on the faculty of Mannes College of Music in New York City.  Please see Mr. Scott's resumé attached.  As we move to create a new focus area in musical theatre in our department, his experience will be an indispensable resource in our efforts to create a meaningful curriculum.  Again, we welcome Kamal Scott to the Morgan Fine and Performing Arts Department.
