A native of Petersburg, VA, Mr. McCoy lives in Washington, D. C. where he enjoys a multi-faceted career both as a performing artist and sought after classical music critic. Mr. McCoy has interviewed internationally acclaimed figures in classical music including Denyce Graves, Christine Brewer, Julian Wachner, Rene Clausen, George Shirley, Leona Mitchell and Carmen Balthrop among many others. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Currrently he serves as Minister of Music at Takoma Park Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. and President of the Ben Holt Memorial Branch of the National Association of Negro Musicians Inc.
