Harlem School of the Arts Again Offers: 'The African Presence in Classical Music'

On Feb. 7, 2009 AfriClassical posted an announcement from the Harlem School of the Arts for the course "The African Presence in Classical Music," taught by Mr. Fred Alston. We learned on Oct. 1 that the course is again being offered:
Hi Mr. Zick,
Earlier this year I emailed you about a workshop that was titled “The African Presence in Classical Music” with Mr. Fred Alston. This year we are having it again and looking towards making it a full class. I have attached some information about the course for your review. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
