On Oct. 3, 2009 AfriClassical posted: “African Musical Arts, Inc.: Winneba Youth Choir of Ghana Tours U.S. Oct. 7 – Nov. 4, 2009.” Dr. Fred Onovwerosuoke sends us this message: “Follow the Winneba Youth Choir of Ghana US Tour on their blog at: http://wyc.africarts.org/ FredO”

October 11, 2009 Journal (Excerpt)
“Now, today was a very busy day for the choir. We were up early - VERY EARLY. Host families got us to our van for a 7:30 AM departure to St Nicholas Catholic Church for their 8:00 Mass. It's a small church located near the central business district (Downtown) of St Louis. The Priest, Father Mark, originally from Liberia but now American, was so very happy to see us and asked the choir to join him in the Processional. Later we sang a few numbers during the service, and upon his request, we sang Aseida for the Recessional. Father Mark danced behind us with so much joy. They almost didn't want us to leave. But a few of our members had to do an interview and do a brief performance for Channel 5 Television, St Louis top TV station, while the rest of the choir left for another service at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in the Central West-End area of St Louis. This is a magnificent edifice, with, as we were told, the second largest pipe organ in St Louis. Naturally, our own accompanist, Elikem Fiase, was like a little kid in a candy store. Our host Dr FredO is the Music Director here at Pilgrim Congregational Church, and he allowed Elikem full access of the organ.”
