Greenwich Choral Society Sings William Grant Still's 'Christmas in the Western World'

The Greenwich Choral Society typically presents three or four different choral music programs during its season. An annual highlight is the traditional Christmas Concert, held at Christ Church, Greenwich in December. GCS 2008-2009 season includes: CHRISTMAS READINGS & ROUNDELAYS! Saturday December 6, 2008 at 4pm; Sunday December 7, 2008 at 4pm & 7pm. Christ Church Greenwich, 254 East Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT The Greenwich Choral Society presents its traditional Christmas Concert featuring works for Chorus, Brass and String Orchestra including A Christmas Cantata by Daniel Pinkham and excerpts from Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols. In addition, William Grant Still's Christmas in the Western World and special Christmas Carol arrangements will round out the program.

Dr. Dominique-René de Lerma, Professor of Music at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, has specialized in Black Classical Composers for four decades.
